On a Dodge this might be where the sensor is located behind the front bumper, down at the bottom in the center of the vehicle. You can see it from the front of the vehicle through the holes in the bumper. Usually behind the grill, in front of the radiator or to either side of the radiator.

the sensor is located in front of the radiator and behind the bumper. The engine computer does not use this sensor. This sensor is for the roof computer if equipped. It is the sensor that gives the roof computer the outside temp. If it is bad the temp reading will either be off or an OC displayed.

To find the Ambient Air Temperature Sensor location, I recommend visiting your local Advance Auto Parts store and purchasing Haynes Repair Manual. The book will provide you with the sensor’s exact location. The manual will direct you step by step with detailed instructions on the replacement process.
