I was a bit worried purchasing this item after reading other reviews, but took a chance. This was a very easy install, just remove old drum as a whole, install new drum (w/bearing pre pressed in) and torque retaining nut to proper spec(173 lbs). That's the best part, you don't need a press to remove bearing and reinstall, it's already done. If you've ever done one of these before, you know what I mean, it's a pain.
With my savings, I replaced brake shoes and wheel cylinders, with money left over and savings in time! No brake fade, bearing noise or wheel wobble so far after a month, so I am pretty satisfied! Oh, make sure you remove the antilock brake ring from old drum and reinstall on new one, it does not come with one. It looks like a wheel seal. take your time removing and you wont damage it!

These are cheap Chinese castings with VERY low quality control standards. 2 sets of bad bearings, one with loose/damaged studs, now another that is not round. Pulsates horribly and has less than 600 miles on it. When they stop replacing them under warranty I'll go buy something better.

Comments about Wearever Brake Drum - Rear:

The drums are OK and easy to install but the bearings are very low quality. I initially only changed the drums because my old bearings were gone. About half a year later I took them off to install new break shoes and discovered that the bearings are leaking oil/grease (they have a seal on both sides that should have kept it inside). After about 11 months the noise from the bearings got so loud that I had to replace them (under warranty). It seemed as if some of the balls inside were crushed.
Unfortunately I had not purchased new ones ahead of time and had to take the same ones again for replacement- the better (more expensive) brand was not in stock and would have taken 6 days to order.
At least I got brand new drums every time...

in 2 years i have warranted 5 of these parts for bad bearrings. yes 5.they go bad and become unsafe to drive on. Then you have to replace the nuts. only good to torque 4 times each to 172ftlbs. good braking tho and feel. the fronts do most the stoping any ways so if you have stoping troble look there.

Comments about Wearever Brake Drum - Rear:

I have done dozens of brake repairs and replacements, but this particular model was different. The original drum was very difficult to remove and I replaced the brake shoes once I had it removed. I wish in retrospect that I had just bought the replacment drums at the same time, as the new shoes squealed with the old drum once I had it all together. So I purchased two new drums with bearings already installed. Now that everything was clean the drum replacement took 10 minutes to do. I would recommend just spend the money and put in new parts once you have it apart and do it once.

I have been purchasing wearever products for customers on a low budget trying to save them money. I have had about a 30% fail rate on these products causing me time and money. THESE PRODUCTS ARE OF EXTREMELY DEFICIENT QUALITY. please do not even consider these products. you will thank me in the long run. for those of you that do GOOD LUCK.

I replaced both sides on my 06 wagon. I have had to replace both side atleast twice. When they stop covering them, I will rither go to Ford or try a more expensive brand. If I get 10,000 miles out of a drum I am surprised. Will never pay for these again.

You would have heard if you knew that the bearings are pressed into this particular drum. Much better and preferred to get a drum/bearing combo because most warrantees do not cover drum damage from having the bearing pressed by a third party
