Stopping distance is longer at first. It's better after a day or so. Give it a chance to get broken in. My first time changing my own pads and it's pretty simple.

The website doesn't tell you these are only for the four-wheel drive units. If you have a two-wheel drive Tahoe, plan on returning them.

I purchased these brake pads because I first trust the name "Wearever" and second because Advance Auto Parts had them priced the best. These brake pads come with a warranty and they are the best, they last and they shorten the stop distance. Great bang for your bucks.

Bought the silver pads for front and rear along with rotors. Fronts went on no problem. Took the rear pads out of the box and they had twice the pad material on them. I thought they looked odd but installed them anyway. Then I couldnt fit the caliper over the pads because there was a clearance issue. Called the store and they verified the part number. Tried 1 more time with no luck. Brought pads back to store and the manager opened 2 more boxes. 1 was identical to the ones I was returning, too thick. And the other was the proper pad. He said sometimes be sees this happen even though the pad and part numbers match.
