        No room for grease fitting

          Comments about Moog Ball Joint:

          The cv axle will not fit into the wheel hub with the grease fitting attacted to the ball joint. The ABS ring on the axle collides with the fitting when replacing the hub assembly. Only options are to return the parts or drive with no grease fitting in the ball joint. Find a replacement that does not have a grease fitting on it.

            Grease zerk that came with it would not clear abs teeth, so I used one I had in the tool cabinet and it cleared just fine. You could probaly also grind the zerk down the little bit you need to clear it. Also you definately need a press to put these in. The OEM Honda ball joint was a smooth press in fit. Unliike the pic they show, the Moog has serated edges to help lock it in place. Happy with Moog in the past this seems like a quality product, lets see if it lasts 145K like the OEM part did.

              ABS Teeth attached to Axle leave no room for Ball Joint Grease Zerk, if you try to force it you will cut into the ABS sensor teeth and likely destroy both ABS axle teeth and Grease Zerk.

              Installed it myself on my Honda Civic and it works well. With online discounts the price was about the same as the cheaper Chinese stuff. Moog is manufactured in Japan!
