Q:
does it fit a 99 bonneville 3.8? and if so where does it fit?
Yes, this Mallory Ignition Coil Part number 29440 fits your 1999 Pontiac Bonneville.
Instruction to replace the ignition coil. Disconnect the ground battery cable. This cable connects to the negative terminal post on the battery. Isolate it to prevent injuries and accidents. Access the Bonneville ignition coil. On the 4.6L engine, you need to take off the fuel injection sight shield, separate the ignition coil cover from the cam cover on Bank 1, detach the secondary air injection (AIR) vent solenoid electrical connector and remove the check valve for the AIR. If you need to access the ignition coil on Bank 2, take off the upper filler panel. 3. Detach the ignition coil wiring harness and electrical connector from the ignition coil. 4. Use a wrench or a socket set to remove the bolt that secures the Bonneville ignition coil in place. If you need to remove all the ignition coils, remove the main coil wiring harness. 5. Separate the ignition coil from the mounting system. Pull out the old ignition coil and replace it with the new one. 6. Check that the ignition coil forms a tight seal with the spark plug seals. 7. Reassemble the components. If you have a torque wrench, tighten the ignition coil retaining bolt to 89 inch pounds (10 Nm) torque.

Q:
On a 1997 Chrysler sebring jxi 2.5 how would this product work? the oem coil is integrated into the distributor. If you think that it can tell me how and you got a sale
your ignition coil may be the problem. However, I would suggest taking your vehicle to a certified mechanic for a proper diagnosis before buying and having parts installed that may not (solve/be) the problem.

Q:
if this wore out what type of problems will it cause
Asked on 8/2/2011 by ken the shade tree fixer from Ft.towson,ok
An ignition coil that is completely dead will prevent the engine from starting or will stop the engine if the car is running at the time of failure. This is because no current will reach the spark plugs. An ignition coil that is failing will still provide current to the plugs, but it might not be enough for a full spark and the car will run sluggishly. If the current being provided by the coil is not consistent, the car will run rough.
