Wifes turn signals would continue to tick, as if they were still activiated, after she turned it off. After researching online I read to replace this part. For [$] it seemed like a pricey investment since I didn't know if it would fix the problem. It was very easy to install. Just make sure when you are lowering the new one in to push in on the little metal rod sticking out of the plastic where it slips over the steering column. Easy install and it fixed the problem. To save [$] I guess you could cut the "clicker" cables but I'm not sure if that would cause additional problems like hazard light switch not working etc. Would of gave it 5 stars if the price was lower. I did use a coupon code to help with the sting.

Really easy to install. Took me 5 minutes at most. Liked ordering online and having it available to pick up in store. The only thing I don't care for is that it seems to be low quality. Switch seems loose and I don't expect it to last very long. For the price, it's a good replacement.

Seems to be an issue with the Grand Am. Was easy to install about ten min. after unhooking the battery and leaving the vehicle set to make sure you don't trigger the air bag. Was a little costly but was worth it to get rid of the ticking in the dash.

turn signal 'clicking' would not stop. Purchase this item and it was extremely easy to install. DONT pay someone to do it, too easy for you not to do it. I know nothing about cars and I installed it with no problems.

The turn signals on my 2000 Pontiac Grand Am would sometimes turn off before I had completed my turn. As this could create a hazardous situation, I did some research and found this was a common problem with Pontiac Grand Ams and the issue was likely a connection in the multifunction switch. I brought the part to my mechanic and they installed it and charged 1.2 hours of labor. I had this done four days ago and haven't had any issues with the turn signals yet!

A:
Check the dealership they have a recall for that problem/concern.What they are doing is replacing the hazard switch.You have up to 10 yeasrs or 150000 miles depending which one comes first and what model you have.It does not matter if your not the orginal owner.Because this is a safety issue.
