Monroe Strut-Mate mounting kits are direct fit replacements designed to complement the ride control characteristics of Monroe struts. In addition, our full line will provide you with late model original equipment coverage. When doing strut replacements, it is important to do the complete job. This means not only replacing the struts but also inspecting and replacing worn strut mounts. Remember, worn strut mounts can adversely affect a vehicle's safety and handling. Not only are strut mounts a necessary component of the suspension system, they consist of rubber to metal bonded parts that wear out over time as well. Worn bearings may also cause noise, steering binding, vibration and vehicle pull. Strut-Mate mounting kits can include*: Strut Mount, Bearing, Upper Spring Isolator, Lower Spring Isolator, or Upper Spring Seat. (*as applicable by OE design)

Product Features:
  • Replacing all your warn strut components ensures a complete repair
  • High-Quality premium strut components
  • Engineered for superior fit and performance
  • Monroe Strut-Mate mounting kits* include: Strut Mount, Bearing, Upper Spring Isolator, Lower Spring Isolator, or Upper Spring Seat.

Questionable quality - stripped threads

Comments about Monroe Strut-Mate Strut Mounting Kit:

One of the three studs stripped threads while tightening the nuts. All nuts seemed a bit difficult to thread on, but only one of them stripped while tightening it. As it is a 2000 Neon with ~240K miles and a hassle to remove to return for replacement strut mount, I put a second nut on it and left the strut mount in place. I'll keep the receipt and if I have to remove strut for another reason, I'll return as defective then. Advance has provided me excellent service in the past when needed. I recommend this part regardless of this issue because, if you got to have it, buying it at the dealer will cost far more.

The strut mounting kit could possibly be the problem. However, without the presence of your vehicle we would not be able to properly diagnose it nor provide you with a 100% answer. We would suggest that you take your vehicle to a certified mechanic for further diagnosis. For further assistance, please feel free to call us at 1-877-238-2623 or visit your nearest Advance Auto Parts store and one of our representatives would be more than happy to assist you.
