I was told by a mechanic the Heater Core for my car was going to cost $130. Will this be the same heater core I will need to replace the one in my care or this is just a component of the Heater Core?

A plugged heater core should not be causing your car to over heat.

      • A:

Yes it can due to fluid and system pressure loss. Do you find that you need to add coolant all the time? Do you find coolant on the floor(in and or under the car) in the area below where the heater core is located? Do you smell anti freeze in the car?If you do you have a leak.
