Comments about ACDelco Transmission Fluid Filter:
This is the best filter you can get. It comes with the pan gasket and the metal/rubber filter stem gasket--it's complete. Been using for 16 years on my truck that now has over 225,000 miles on the transmission (knock on wood).

Q:
I have a 1997 chevy c1500. I looked for a transmission kit for my truck. The site says that 16 bolt AND 17 bolt transmission gasket fits. How can both different sizes fit my vehicle?1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
With reference to your inquiry on the ACDelco Transmission Fluid Filter - Part No. TF289, this transmission fluid filter comes with 16 bolt hole in the pan. I assume you are referring to the Driveworks Automatic Transmission Filter Kit - Part No. DW-FK318 where it says it fits a 1997 Chevrolet C1500 5.0L, 5.7L and 6.5L trucks with its 17 bolt hole filter. The only difference between the 16 hole and 17 hole filters is the transmission. All the 16 bolt filters are compatible with the 4L60E/65E transmission of the 1997 C1500 while this 17 bolt filter is compatible with the 4L80E transmission of this truck.
