                        The coolant temperature sensor sends information to the onboard computer . The computer uses the information to determine what adjustments need to be made to the engine cooling and heating process.This sensor should be located Just behind the alternator, on the coolant pipe. The engine ECM/cooling fan sensor is located on the driver side(rear end) of the engine, screwed into the housing that the radiator hose attaches to.
