Easy to install, especially with long socket extensions and going through the wheel well. Very happy with the new pipe, its so quiet now. Be sure to disconnect the battery..... the starter/solenoid is right next to the upper flex pipe and will make some interesting sparks and flashes to remind you to disconnect that battery!

The flex hose section on this pipe is in a better spot than the stock one was. They have the flex hose right at the end that meets up with the exhaust manifold instead of in the middle of the pipe which is where mine failed. It was tough getting the 3 nuts and bolts (bought at a hardware store) to go on because of how cramped the engine compartment is on my S10. I used gasket sealant to hold the washer and locking washer in place as I put the screws on from the bottom. I'm happy with the results. My truck is super quiet now. I saved a bunch of $ doing it myself. Don't forget to get new gaskets for both ends of the pipe.

Treat the fittings with Cyclo Breakaway or P'Blaster several times over a few days before. Then heat those nuts and bolts as hot as you can get them before trying to remove. They'll break, otherwise, and then you really got problems.

The hardest part of the change out will be getting the old part off. Use a good penetrating oil (I had to make three applications)and had to use vise grips to get the mounting nuts to free-up. 90 minutes removing the old part, 10 minutes installing the new.
