The Superstat has the added features of a heavier frame, spring and heat motor for more control and longer life. Its unique, patented valve promotes extremely fast flow as the thermostat opens to reduce cycling. This thermostat offers a longer life so you do not have to change the thermostat as often, promotes improved engine efficiency from better temperature control and provides high flow.

The best temperature rating thermostat is the one that originally came in your vehicle. Unless you are doing extreme racing, there really is not a need to change the temperature rating on the thermostat.Answered on 11/23/2009 by Mike from Advance Auto Parts
