Comments about BWD Clutch Starter Safety Switch:
Fit on a 94 Ford Ranger Great. It turned out to not be the problem, but I couldn't get the orginal back in so I reinstalled this one again. Was really easy to install in a tight spot under the dash.

A:
Yes, this BWD Clutch Starter Safety Switch - part# NS38035 is on the clutch pedal and is an exact fit for your 1995 Ford Ranger. You have to remove the rod from where it connects to the pedal. This has an e-clip, just becareful not to loose it then the switch will slide off. How do I test the clutch neutral saftey switch in a 1988 ford ranger 4x4 with a 2.3 4 cyl?1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
The neutral safety switch will resemble a cigarette lighter, and is usually located near the shift mechanism. In column shift vehicles, the switch is threaded onto the side of the transmission, near the gear shifter. Check the wiring. The switch has wires that connect the switch to the starter solenoid. The switch remains "open" when the transmission is in gear, which prevents electrical current from engaging the starter. When the ignition switch is moved to the "Start" position, this allows current to flow to the starter, as long as the transmission is in "Park" or "Neutral" gear. Refer to your service manual for the wiring schematic of your specific vehicle model, and detach the switch from the wiring connector. Put the key in the ignition switch with the gear in the "Reverse" position. Do not turn on the engine. Check whether there is any power in the wiring harness. Use a 12-volt test light. If it shows an illuminated bulb then there is power and the circuit is working properly. Attach the wiring connector back to the neutral switch. If the test light does not illuminate, test all wires for loose or damaged connections, then retest. If no power is present, then replace the neutral safety switch. 1998 ford f150 4.2 ltr clutch starter safety switch how do i remove this so i can install a new one2 answers
A:
If you are replacing the master cylinder, the easiest way is to cut the cylinder rod next to the flywheel with a saw saw or hack saw...other than that, there are two clips on the switch, push them together and pull back. I had a time with it, but it was accomplished.CUSTOMER CARE
