i have a 2002 mits eclipse I have a problem with my car overheating. I have been told it might be my water pump but when i had it checked they said it was good.. A friend said he had a eclipse and this was the problem.. When my ac fan comes on its fine, but just sitting in a drive thru or at a stop light it overheats.. I need to find the problem before real bad damage occurs. I have replaced the radiator 2 times and replace the thermostat about every 6 months.. please help!! :)Asked on 6/7/2012 by Anonymous from Texas1 answer

The fluid container fault, low coolant level or air trap inside the cooling system may also cause the overheating problem. The coolant temperature sensor is located on the coolant housing in the transmission at the end of the engine under the ignition coil on your 2001 Hyundai Sonata.
