Comments about BWD/Intermotor Power Door Lock Actuator:

My oem door lock actuator wasn't working, so I replaced it with this resonably priced one. Install was easy, everything bolt-in like oem. Now my door locks work.

Part fit well. No problems. Overall job takes a little time, door lock assembly needs removed to get to actuator, just take your time and align everything as you go

Exact match to original. Requires door panel removal AND removal of inner door lock mechanism. Actuator must be removed from door lock mechanism and replaced outside the door then the whole thing must be re-installed. Slightly time consuming. Works like a champ, though !

My driver side door on my 2003 Honda Civic four door would not respond to manually locking with the key "sometime", and it would not allow for the keyless remote to unlock the door. Does it sound as if this part would solve my problem?

                            A:

With reference to your inquiry on the BWD/Intermotor Door Lock Solenoid - part# DLA153, the power door lock actuator may be the possible cause of the problem on your Honda Civic. However, I would suggest taking your vehicle to a certified mechanic for a proper diagnosis before buying and having parts installed that may not (solve/be) the problem. For any further assistance, you may also call us at: 1-877-238-2623 or visit the nearest Advance Auto Parts store and one of our Parts Pros will gladly assist you with any questions or concerns you may have.

I have a 2004 Honda Accord DX. Sometimes I cannot use the key to open the front left door. Also when I push down the lock inside the car, the other door locks do not respond, I need to manually lock each door. Does this mean I need to replace the front left side lock actuator, or I need to replace all the lock actuators.

Is this part also for a the rear doors? I have a 2003 Honda CR-V that I believe requires new door lock actuators for both the left and right rear doors.

The symptoms I am seeing is that the doors will not lock if the main driver side lock button is pushed, nor will it lock if the wireless door lock is pressed. They will both lock if they are manually pushed down or pulled up.
