    Worked well

I didn't need the gasket since mine was reusable, but saved it since it looks like it's good quality. Filter was the fiber-mesh like what I had, not just a screen.

Comments about Pro-King Automatic Transmission Filter Kit:

i would rather go to the dentist than change transmission fluid and filter, but at least the kit worked well.... the filter fit fine, the gasket was flimsy but mine is a reusable one so i didn't need the one in the kit.. if you use the one in the kit use some sticky gasket seal to hold it in place or you will fight it the whole time

Found a small white plug in the pan, found out it was in from factory as a plug only for trans during shipping toss it looks like a small white spinning top dradle type thing w o-ring on it... toss it if you find one floating in there.

My question, can I drain the torque converter on this model. I see a round rubber boot about 1 1/2" diameter on the bell housing. Is this for getting to the torque converter to drain it?

It may have a Drain Plug if you have an old Torque Converter as it had one when it came out in 1995. But if it is a 1995 with a replacement 4R70W Transmission and a newer Torque Converter made after April 2002 then it will not have a Drain Plug. The rubber plug is normally 1 or 1.5" in diameter on the bottom of your bell housing that give's you access to your torque converter drain plug. When I was reading the Chilton's manual it says that it is a piece that was left in your transmission from the factory. It was used to keep dirt and other debris out of the transmission during assembly. It also said you should ONLY see this on your first trans service and to dispose of it.

I think what you're refering to looks kind of like a fishing bobber. This is just a piece that's put in to plug dipstick hole when transmission is manufactured and filled in upside down position and then the pan put on. when dipstick is inserted in transmission it knocks this plug out and has no further use, just throw it away. All it really means is that the pan has not been off you're transmission before.

Unfortunately, since we can not be there with your vehicle, we can not properly diagnose what is wrong.
