Sorry for the confusion caused. As per BWD this Pigtail/Socket(Part No. PT5726) is not the ideal part for your 1996 Mitsubishi Eclipse. Please check the BWD/Intermotor Camshaft Sensor (Part No. CSS603) and BWD Camshaft Sensor (Part No. CSS47K) which are the correct parts for your vehicle.Answered on 12/30/2011 by John the Car-Doc from AAP
