              A:

With reference to this ACDelco Blower Motor Resistor Connector - part# PT2195, the resistor may be the possible cause of the problem on your Chevy Trailblazer. However, I would suggest taking your vehicle to a certified mechanic for a proper diagnosis of what amp alternator you have before installing any alternator which would not be the required one for your vehicle. For any further assistance, you may also visit your nearest Advance Auto store or call us directly at 1-877-ADVANCE (238-2623) one of our representatives there would be more than happy to assist you.

I have a 2004 Chevy Silverado 1500, 4.8l. The blower motor quit working. I replaced it. Replaced the resistor as well. It still does not work. Any suggestions what would fix this? Does this wiring harness have a connector for the back of the 5 position switch as well?

This is a well know issue. If you look at your connector you may see one of the pins burnt. You need to look carfully. There is a Technical service bulletin out on this however no recall.

I would recommend purchasing a Haynes repair manual for your vehicle. This will have many of the specifications and locations of parts needed for a variety of repairs.

96 Chevy Cavalier blower for heat not working. When I kick it you can hear it struggling but then nothing. How can I know if it is the resistor or the motor itself. I don't want to buy parts that won't fix it that I cannot return. Thanks!!!

              A:

You should only have one motor for the heater and A/C. They use the same fan. It is most likely the blower motor resistor not working properly.
