Bought this part when replacing thermostat. It had extra part for groove on housing.

Purchased a new thermostat online from another source. The thermostat came with a gasket but it did not have the tab on it. Replaced the gasket with this one from Adv. Auto and the thermostat fits like it should. Very quick fix.
