            Comments about BWD/Intermotor Horn:

This was NOT A DIRECT FIT as advertised on the website. This is basically a one-size fits all - but you have to splice your wiring in order to make it work. These auto parts stores need to create the correct connections for these vehicles. There is no need to have to splice wiring. Come on!!!!!

I wouldn't recommend this to my enemy!

Description and Picture show a factory hookup for Chevy type horn wiring. It is generic type hookup. I will have to cut and splice wires to use this horn.

Ordered the item pictured but that was not what I recieved. The Item pictured is indeed a direct OEM fit for the truck it was purchased for, but as stated above, was not what I recieved. Returned the item to the local store for a refund, recieved an E-mail confirming the refund. What I want is a horn that fits. You say you have it, but can't seem to produce it. Not a very satisfactory result.

                        Comments about BWD/Intermotor Horn:

Installed this low tone horn and paired it with its matching high tone horn and they sound great together. Would work good for cars that either have nonworking or weak horns or have the wimpy beep beep horns! You will have to make up a female spade wire plug to plug onto the standard male spade terminals if your current horn has a factory custom harness or doesn't match up with the terminals.

                          Comments about BWD/Intermotor Horn:

This horn caused a very little problem at first until I read the voltage on the wires going to old horn. I had to use the old mounting bracket from the original horn to match up with the mounting holes in the original location. This wasn't a problem as the mounting bolt on the new horn was the same size as the one on the original horn. The change out time was only thirty five minutes. After testing this new horn I was quite surprised as to the audible tone. the new horn didn't sound like an old bull moose on his last leg. Great product every one should change their horn out for better safety factors wail driving.

Instructions to Change a Car Horn: 1. Check the fuses for the horn. If this is not an elective replacement, checking the fuses might save time and money replacing the horn. 2. Disconnect the ground wire from the battery. The ground wire is the black wire extending from the battery to the frame of the vehicle. 3. Locate the car's horn. The horn is found under the hood in one of three places usually: near (almost touching) the car's battery, above the left or right wheel-well or near the front grille. Make sure that the replacement horn, if aftermarket, will fit into your vehicle as the old horn did. If the new horn is substantially larger than the old horn, you may need to find another mounting location. 4. Disconnect the power supply wire from the rear of the horn. Then place it into the replacement horn. 5. Mount the horn to the vehicle. Again, if you need to find another location, you will need to not only attach the horn, you will need to remove and replace the entire mounting bracket. The removal of the bracket will require a screwdriver (kind varies, usually Phillips). You may also need to prepare receiving holes for the remounting. 6. Reconnect the battery grounding wire. Test the horn.

1994 Suburban - C1500 - 215,000 miles - paid in full - 2 wheel drive, P.S., P.B., P.W., Front & Rear A\C ... where are the O.E.M. horns located? My horn sounds muffled & flat sounding. I intend to replace both of them. There is no avail information "spec tab" as to why I should pay $28.00 hi output horn "versus" $20.00 regular output horn. What is decibel output of each horn? If ADVANCED AUTO PARTS is going to supply "spec" tab, it would be nice to have "spec" information in that tab. Please advise as to exact locations of the horns and please supply Db output for each horn to justify hi oputpur or regular horn. Many thanks. - Wednesday 07/28/2010 - 2:15PM - EST ... horns should be located behind the driver side grill and most models and some behind the driver fender.
