My starter went out, and I decided to tackle the task of replacing it myself -- a feat of its own for someone who has only changed oil and headlights herself. The item I received in the mail was exactly what the website showed and all parts needed were in the box. The only thing missing was installation instructions, but a quick search online took care of that. Other tools needed were a ratchet wrench set, breaker bar, and screwdrivers. After installation my car didn't start right away but after tapping the starter the engine turned and the starter has worked perfectly ever since. Ordering online was easy, the product shipped on time and was easy to track via UPS. The old product I returned for a refund of the core fee was received and processed quickly. Highly recommend this part and Advance Auto Parts.

I installed the first starter in about 30 minutes. My son drove the car that day and it quit that night in a town about 1 hour away. Spent half a day traveling back and forth getting it changed out again. The bendix wouldn't turn when it was tested in the store. Thankfully I didn't have to pay a mechanic to change this part twice !!

This starter works like a charm. With a GND cable added from the battery NEG terminal to one of the starter mounting bolts she starts within a second.

Comments about Worldwide Starter:
The remove and replace for my 99 Nissan Maxima was fairly quick and painless. With starter mounted on top of engine instesd of at bottom of engine. Was a perfect fit and has been working great for several months now. It does make a different noise that stock starter when engaged. Once you get use to that all is well.
