OEM form, fit & function. Body is non rusting stainless steel. Comes with new fuel line retaining clips in case you break old ones. Filter media meets Fords particle size filtering specs. Only gripe, Should, but didn't have covers over the filters open end line fittings to keep out debris during shipment.

Comments about Motorcraft Original Equipment (OE) Fuel Filter:
Ordered Motorcraft to get OEM fit and function. This filter delivers both. Fits great, easy to install, and it looks good to see a Ford filter under my Ford product!
Certainly worth changing at the recommended interval. My old one had just 30K miles on it and it wass full of a very fine black particulate.

Comments about Motorcraft Original Equipment (OE) Fuel Filter:
I purchased this Ford Motorcraft fuel filter for my 2002 Ford Escape v6. The Escape has over 140,000 miles on it and runs great (Ford sure knows how to build 'em). The filter was changed as part of my ongoing preventitive maintenance program on the Escape. The filter was ordered via the Advance Auto Parts online order system and it arrived within a few days after order. The filter fit perfectly (aren't Original Manufacture replacement parts wonderful??). It came complete with 2 new retainer clips.

Comments about Motorcraft Original Equipment (OE) Fuel Filter:
2005 Ford Escape 150,000 miles I recently purchased this vehicle and I did and entire tune up on it and the fuel filter was one of many items needed. This filter is a quality replacement. When replacing this filter you need to first locate the relay box and remove the fuel pump relay, on this model it was under the hood on the drivers side fender well. Your owners manual will show which relay it is, wiggle relay back and forth and pull it out, this will kill power to the fuel pump. Now start the vehicle and relieve the fuel pressure in the line. Now careffully remove white plastic clips and remove fuel lines from old filter and install new one. Sometime the plastic clips will break this filter came with new ones however they did not fit mine.

Comments about Motorcraft Original Equipment (OE) Fuel Filter:
I've used this particular Motorcraft filter over the last 10 years with no issues in a '99 SHO and a '99 Sable. In fact I've never had any issues with any Motorcraft filters in the last 25+ years of installing them in Fords...

Comments about Motorcraft Original Equipment (OE) Fuel Filter:
It was easy to install. All I had to do was take the clamps off of the lines and work the old fuel filter out and then i replaced it with the new one and re-attached the clamps. It did not come with instructions on installation but it was pretty much common sense.
I drive my truck everyday and I need it to perform correctly. I try to maintain it and keep it running smooth. Replacing the filter did not remedy the problem that I was having but I can tell that it is riding better now. I would buy this again if I needed it.

Comments about Motorcraft Original Equipment (OE) Fuel Filter:
Replacing OEM parts with new OEM parts is sometimes important. This Motorcraft OEM Fuel Filter is an example. You may be able to save a little on the purchase of another brand but when you consider the importance of this filter to your engine's performance and the relatively inexpensive nature of the part, it's clear that an OEM filter is the way to go. Fuel system pressures, flow rates and fitment are all key considerations in the manufacture of Motorcraft parts and this makes them my first choice when doing preventative maintenance on my vehicles.
