I put this in 2 weeks ago. Unit went in easy. Too early to say anything about durability but has lifetime warranty. so far so good. No complaints.

When I received the product via mail, and took it out of the box, I noticed that the black plactic connector, on the back of the alternator, were the electrical connector plugs into, was broken off on the very end, and had a crack line down the center. I was able to plug the vehicle connector over the damage so the alternator works just fine. I SAW NO DAMMAGE, OR ABUSE TO THE BOX IT CAME IN, AND FEEL THE DAMAGE WAS NOT NOTICED BEFORE IT WAS SENT TO ME. I would have given 5 stars in its performance if the connector had not been damaged.

Most cost effective way to solve the problem was to replace the alternator for the Overrunning Alternator Decoupler (OAD) noise. Toolset and part would have cost the same and all I needed to do was put the mounting bolts back in. Less labor to resolve the problem.
