Bottom of plugs have a slider type bracket on them that hit the fan. I took a pair of side cutters and cut the two rails off. I worked.

Although the Advanced Auto Parts "check fit" web feature stated this was an exact fit for my van (07 Chrysler Town and Country Touring - 3.8L V6), I discovered after installation that the electric connectors on the fan would not seat properly and lock with the connectors on the van wire (ie., the connectors would not lock together). To determine if it was just a mechanical "locking" issue, I taped the connectors together and op checked the fan. It did not run. The issue is that the Advanced Auto Parts "exact fit" feature likely did not take into account for the specific differences between the OEM fan and this substitute fan, and I was steered to an incompatible part. Note, I reinstalled the original OEM fan (with the warped blades) and that fan op checked just fine.
