These small engine lawn and garden batteries by Autocraft are a cost effective solution to your aging lawn tractor battery. These batteries are almost maintenance free. 300 cold cranking amps should make starting quicker and put less a strain on your starter. These batteries are fully charged and ready to be installed right from the store. A fresh battery will put less a strain on your entire electrical system. They are designed to prevent internal shorts from all the harsh vibrations and rough conditions presented by lawn and garden equipment.
You may want to purchase a small packet of battery terminal protector for use when you install your new battery.
I have also used these batteries in simple low amp hour appliances as a backup or replacement.

I have tried several brands of batteries over the years, and this is the best overall maintenance free battery I have used. Although it only has 6 months warranty I usually get around 4 years use.

I bought this battery 2 weeks ago with coupon, it is much cheaper than other competior's brand. It started my lawn mower right up, much stronger than the original equipped one. Hope it also last long enough.

Time will tell how long it will last. In Northeast need to put on trickle charger on after last cut or the life of any battery won't be very good.

This is the 3rd such battery in 3 years. I initally bought one because my ride-on died on a Sunday and the dealer was closed, AAP was open.
Installed and ran that summer. Took it out before winter, trickle charged, re-installed in Spring, battery dead 2 days later. Replaced the battery at AAP. Same thing happened the next year.
Counterperson at AAP acknowledged they've had problems with this brand ! I bought a name brand battery that was actually $ 10 cheaper with no problems since.
The original dealer brand battery lasted 8 seasons with proper charging and storage. These lasted one season. If you have no other options, buy one. If you can find any other brand, do so.

Difficult to give good review after only one month. Hope this product will provide at least 2 seasons of reliable starting for garden tractor. So far so good!

This battery is a good one for use with smaller horsepower electric start mowers. I have a sixteen horsepower Kohler Command motor and when I installed the new battery it fired right up. I also cranked the mower on a cold morning and the cold cranking amps were more than sufficient to turn the motor over. I will withhold judgment on the longevity of the battery as I just bought this battery one month ago. I hope it holds up. The 3 month warranty is kind of a joke. It only covers you if the battery is defective right from the store.
