  • Q:

    i have a 93 chevy truck 2wd. it had a 4.3 but i put an 84 305 in its place. now instead of the electric pump in he tank i took it out and am running a mechanical pump that is on the 305. i was using the 4.3 sending unit but when i pulled it out of the tank i broke the float and now have no gas gauge. i was wondering what sending unit will work to run the mechanical pump without having to swap out the tank thats on the 93 truck.
