      A:

With reference to your inquiry on the BWD Ignition Knock (Detonation) Sensor - Part No. S8756, there are two knock sensors in your 2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer 4.2L, the first one near the AC compressor on the left side of the engine block and the second one is located below the starter on the left rear of the engine block. To change the knock sensors on your vehicle, kindly follow the instructions to replace it: Disconnect your negative battery terminal first. Use a 1/2 inch socket to loosen the bolt on the Knock Sensor. Unclip the plastic retainer. Plug the new one in and bolt it back to the side of the engine block. By the way, the front Knock Sensor is right behind the air conditioning compressor. The rear Knock Sensor is located below the starter. Hooked the negative battery terminal back up and started the motor.
