Comments about Autocraft Computer Memory Keeper:
Great time saving product. Works as advertised on sockets that are not "switched" sockets.
Comments about Autocraft Computer Memory Keeper:
We have a 2006 Honda Accord and a 2007 Honda Civic. Bought the memory keeper so when we do our annual battery maintenance, we wouldn't have to reset the time, radio, etc. Bottom line - this did not work on either vehicle. It does state on the package that it may not be compatible with "late model Chrysler or import vehicles". Not sure what years "late model" are suppose to include. Buyer Beware!

Have Honda Element 2008. Has no voltage to the power socket with the ignition switch off. Do I have to turn ignition to accessories in order for this to hold the computer?1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
With reference to this Autocraft Computer Memory Keeper -part# AC590, when replacing the battery it wont work as it plugs into the lighter because the socket is on accessory power and is not connected with the key off. If you want to keep the ECU/radio etc. powered when removing the battery, you need to connect the backup power to a constant 12V circuit. You can do this under the hood using a main fuse box connection with clipleads. If you have a jumper pack with a utility outlet it can be used as a power source. While the battery is disconnected be sure to keep all doors closed and the key out of the ignition, to avoid any high drain that would deplete your backup. Unfortunately our website is not showing an engine computer for your vehicle. If there is an Advance Auto Parts store near you, I recommend visiting it and speaking with an associate there. They are usually able to get certain parts for vehicles that are not listed on the website.
