Single chamber. The 10 Series race mufflers are intended for racing applications and utilize Flowmaster's patented Delta Flow technology for maximum performance. Recommended for racing applications where a muffler is required without a set decibel limit to be met. Will provide a noticeable dB reduction over open headers.       When I had my '03 Explorer XLT, I had the 'Chery Bomb Extreme', which LOOKS & is supposed to sound the same as this muffler. I had a HARD Time trying to find the 'right muffler with the right sound', so it took me 2 mufflers to find the one I had. It was difficult getting the 'right sound' when only changing mufflers because I had 3 cat. converts. which Did Not Help Increase the 'rumble-type' tone I was Looking for.
      Hope this gives you some help & since it is going on 2 months for an answer to your question, I Hope It Is in time for your decision.
