Following instructions, the gauge showed low pressure. When I added half a can of refrigerant, the pressure on the dial decreased. But the cabin got cooler. After running the a/c for a while the compressor started knocking and the dial swung up and down. then the dial popped off, releasing some oil. Don't trust the gauge!

This kit is nice, but there is more to the conversion than this. The receiver/dryer should be changed before replacing the freon.

Took one can to realize it would leak if the interlock was not held down when engaged. Also it came with 30 oz. of refri. and the system took 38 oz.

converted the old 93 gmc jimmy, kit had fittings and new freon with oil to perform the complete job, vehicle reached satisfactory cooling in the recent heat wave in chicago, I would ase it again if the need to convert again

Recently, I found my car AC stop working, because leaking. I fixed the leak and ordered a Kit (EZ Chill R-12 to R-134a Recharge and Retrofit Kit by Interdynamics) online from advance auto parts, and pick it up at auto parts local store whthin 1 hour. The kit contains 3 cans of R134a, I could feel cold after I added 2 cans, I still have one can left. I like this kit, it is easy to use, save time and money.

The kits brings everything you need to retrofit & convert to R134a, but it only brings straight fittings & no 90 degree fittings which the vehicle I was working on needed. As always do your research before starting to work the car.
