Comments about Monroe Gas-Matic LT Shock Absorber:
I have a 1994 full-size BLAZER Sport with 147,000 miles on it. I have had this vehicle since it was new. I installed my first set of MONROE Gas-Matic LT shock absorbers in 2004 at 65,000 miles to replace the factory shocks. Even though the Monroe Gas-Matics still performed fine, I figured that 8 years and 82,000 miles was asking enough out of a shock absorber. Being well satisfied with the quality and performance of these shocks, I ordered the same part numbers (59582 + 59520) for replacement. Installation was a breeze both times. (TIP: Use a jack to lift the vehicle since these shocks are gas-filled and expand to their full length.) Even though the old shocks were 8 years old with 82,000 miles on them, there were no gas/oil leaks, no worn bushings, or even any rust. After installing the new shocks, I did notice some improvement in ride, a little better feel for the road, and the steering felt more precise. I'm very happy with these shocks, and, as long as they last, this will probably be the last set I will need for my BLAZER!
