Comments about Stant Thermostat, 170 Degrees Fahrenheit:
Perfect fit! Before installation, engine was overheating after 15-20 minute drive. After installation, problem solved! It doesn't have the little valve that the original part had, because the design is different; instead, it has a tiny hole on the plate that replaces the valve

Comments about Stant Thermostat, 170 Degrees Fahrenheit:
Goes in just like the original part, but it keeps the engine temp lower so it drasticaly decreases heater temp. Drop in gas milahe as well by aprox. 3 miles a gallon.

Comments about Stant Thermostat, 170 Degrees Fahrenheit:
Seems to work fine but did not have the "jiggle valve" that the OEM thermostat had - this small hole with a captive pin allows air bubbles in the system to clear out and avoid hot spots in your system. I can't tell if it made a difference not having it but I wondered about it.
