Comments about Dayco Poly Rib Poly-Rib® Belt:
I have three cars to maintain. I use Dayco belts on all of them. The belts have a unique "W" profile, not the typical micro "V". They are not hard to line up on pulleys and run quietly. I was doubtful about the grip as compared to a micro "V" design, but having a car with a factory supercharger proved to me that they maintain needed friction to keep the supercharger up to speed with the engine. A slipping belt can cause loss of boost and therefore a noticeable loss of power when you want it most. I am going to keep my eye on the Dayco belts I have installed to ensure that they perform as expected. The belts that I replaced were slightly glazed on the smooth side and would squeal and slip at bit when riding through a sizable puddle. So far I have not encounter this with any of my cars having these belts.
