There is a 2 bolt heat shield on one side of them.       The Engine Coolant Temperature sensor should be located at the front of the engine near the fuel rail on passenger side of your vehicle. For help with your project, I recommend purchasing a Haynes repair manual specifically for your vehicle. This should be able to assist you further into detail on how to repair or replace specific parts.
