A K&N filter in desguise
This just another K&N filter in disguise. Except it doesn't have the nut on top and is a buck cheaper. Great filter and performs great.

Comments about Mobil1 Extended Performance Oil Filter:
I switched to mobil1 filters when I switched my oil to Royal Purple. Best filters on the market.

Comments about Mobil1 Extended Performance Oil Filter:
Little pricey but worth it.
This is the second time i got this filter, but only because it lasts long. Oil was cleaner for an extra 2000 miles.

Comments about Mobil1 Extended Performance Oil Filter:
Great product when used with Mobil oil. I can feel a slight difference in HP an torque after installing this. This is not noticeable when I used a K&N or Fram in the past

Comments about Mobil1 Extended Performance Oil Filter:
After googling oil filters a few times, I often found reviews which rated the Mobil1 (& K&N, which is apparently the same, but with a nut welded to the base) filter as the best or best equal.
Given that they are not that expensive, I use Mobil1 filters whenever possible (with some good synthetic or semi-synthetic oil) and change the oil at most every 6,000 miles, but often more frequently.
I have no evidence that this is actually helping prolong the engine life, however the comparison reviews lead me to believe that it is a) doing a better job of filtering b) less likely to have the filter element fall apart and c) has a superior bypass system to cheap/standard filters.
For the extra $5 over a 'normal' filter, it seems money well spent.

Very good product for the price. Pay a little extra if you care about performance and want a good filter to go along with Synthetic Oil.
