I own a service company and anytime a factory battery in a truck or van dies I replace them with Autocraft Gold batteries. These batteries are made by Johnson Controls which is the best aside from those expensive $200 jobs. At times lights can be left on and the battery is run down to zero. Do that a few times and a generic battery will end up not taking and holding a recharge. Autocraft Gold batteries can be discharged and brought back to life so many times I have yet to find the final amount before hitting the recycle pile. When bought online with a discount code these batteries are the least costing of any brand.

I does not fit, I had to modify my bracket to make the battery fit in the tray. It is shorter and narrower than the factory battery that it replaced, yet this is the battery recommended for my Sorento. We made it work, shouldn't have to do it that way. For the price I guess you get what you pay for.

I had to replace the original battery in my mothers 2006 Chevy Impala.
No time is a good time to replace a battery. This Autocraft Battery was fully charged and ready when I purchased it. It was a cold day and I didn't need any more problems. The built in strap made it easy to maneuver the battery down in the narrow space in the Impala to place it on the battery shelf. I was totally happy with my purchase and the performance of the new battery. It has been installed for about 3 weeks and really turns the engine over stronger than the original battery ever did.

My sisters Jeep's battery was getting weaker and weaker but if you drove the thing a couple days of the week, you never had any issues but finally it went dead for the final time when it sat a week and I made my mind up I was changing it out. This battery was a direct fit for the jeep and after putting the factory foam cover on this battery, I dropped it into place. The worst part of the whole deal was two things, one being the hold downs but that was fixed easily once positioned correctly and the other was the nut on the negative cable round off so I had to replace it. Once that was fixed, the thing starts great and holds a charge if it hasn't been driven for a week or two unlike it did previous. Great battery and it comes with a 3 year warranty!

I ordered the product online, and after searching for coupon codes, found one that gave me $40 off. Since I picked it up from the store, shipping & installation were free. The store I went to wasn't busy at all & were able to help me right away. The service person was a little unhappy, but only because apparently my car is one of the hardest models to replace the battery in. But she managed to do it within 20 minutes & without too much grumbling (it was all good-hearted...just aggravated at Chevy). I will definitely be back!

Have only had battery for 2 weeks, but it works well. The good thing about the transaction was their service. They took the old battery out, charged it for 30 minutes, tested it again and concluded it was a bad cell, but offered to reinstall and test alternator. All for no charge on top of a competitive price and a great warranty. I declined the alternator test because it took another half hour or so, and bought battery with understanding that if it didn't fix the problem, I could return it. Two weeks later, all is well so I returned old battery for core charge refund. Couldn't ask for a better experience.

Function: A car battery has three main parts: the anode and cathode (the two connectors) and the battery solution, which is sulfuric acid. A chemical reaction occurs between the anode and the solution, which forms electrons. The electrons flow through the circuit to the cathode, where they re-enter the battery and are incorporated into another chemical reaction between the cathode and the solution. When the battery is chemically dead, one (or more) of these reactants has been used up.
Identification: Check for power to tell if your battery has died. When you turn the key to the number two position, you should hear a bell or buzzer, and signals and lights will brighten on the dashboard panel. If these indicators are dimly lit, or if there is only a "click" sound when the ignition is engaged, the battery is only drained.
