Comments about Sylvania Long Life Incandescent Mini Bulb:
Used this for my license plate light. These bulbs get the job done, but it was a bit dimmer than the one already installed.

A:
Take out the left and right lower dash panels, each secured by two Torx screws and two clips. Locate the large vertical mounting bolts on the bottom of the dashboard. Remove the the dashboard pivot bracket with a socket on an extender. Now remove the two Torx bolts immediately adjacent to the pivot bracket. Remove the four bolts securing the steering column to the dash and firewall bracket with a socket wrench. Pry up the speaker grilles and the defroster grille to reveal the upper dashboard mounting bolts hidden underneath. Pivot the dash to the rear, exposing the cables that must be disconnected. Tag both ends of each cable with numbered masking tape to make reassembly easier. Pull the gauge out of the dash slightly to gain access to the bulb behind it. Carefully unplug the electrical connector. Then removed the burned out bulb. You may need to pinch the base of the bulb or turn it to the left before removing it from the rear of the gauge. Insert the new bulb in the same manner as the old one. Plug the connection back in and push the gauge into the dash. Replace the dash panel and secure with the head screws.
