over all the filter is of good quality for the price, but I stopped using this gold filter for one reason, On some of the filters, I found the coating grit sometimes laying on the seal area of the filter. I would not want the coating grit get into my engine oil. purolator needs only to coat half the filter casing and better protect the open end of the filter with a plastic wrap to keep any loose grit that may rub off during process and packaging from getting on the exposed open end and seal area. If Purolator would make these minor process changes, I would give this gold filter a five star rating, start buying it again and recommend it. If you decide to purchase this filter just take the precaution to open the box and inspect the seal area for any grit,(tiny particles) if you see none it should be ok.

Normally, I buy Fram. I bought yours this time. I changed the oil/filter,put the oil in and noticed the oil filter was dripping oil. I tried to tighten it more, but it is tight. What should I do? I rechecked to make sure it is the right one for the auto, I took it off a little till more oil started pouring out and put it back on and it still drips.
