    • Q:

i have a popular code p0-300 which means all cylindes are affected, i replaced the wires and plugs , it ran good for 20 minutes then ran bad again and the code came back , is it possable that all 8 coils are bad ? its a northstar motor 1997 eldo, when it idles the rpms go down to like 650 and it says turn off motor now , because there is low oil pressure , but when i give it a little gas the rpm goes up and the oil pressure is ok again . its hard to believe its all 8 coils ,that would be a lot of money to replace all 8 at 50 some dollars a piece . how about the map senser ?

      how do this work

      • CUSTOMER CARE

        A:

Ignition coils are used to make spark stronger by having the electricity pass through resistance which builds voltage. Usually on cars today, 12 volts are sent to the coil and on the other anywhere from 30,000-50,000 come out.
