If I want to rebuild my alternator, are there other things I'll need such as brushes, gaskets, or???1 answer

Brushes are usually the main part replaced when rebuilding the alternator, but it all really depends on the model of alternator and what parts you can find. In most cases it is just easier to replace the entire alternator.Q:
IS THIS BEARING FIT THE FRONT OR THE BACK OF THE ALTERNATOR1 answer

A:
The bearing in the back of the alternator is hard to replaced because its pressed on and built into the alternator. The front bearing on the other hand is on the pulley alittle easier to change depending on the vehicle. im unsure which bearing this is without the vehicle information such as year make and model so i can do more thorough research.Q:
do you have to change the ball bearings if you change the alternator1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
The new alternator should come with a new ball bearing.
