Sometimes the outer coating makes it onto the o-ring and the area inside it. Look for this overspray before you buy.

I've been using this oil-filter for my last few oil changes, and it definitely does seem to keep the life in the oil just a bit longer than some other filters. Reasonably priced and does the job well. A+

Highest filtration you can get at this price point (or any for that matter). The synthetic oil filters are backed with wire mesh, but that's really not needed except for extreme oil change intervals. PureOnes should be good for 15,000 miles easily.

Purchased and installed on Pontiac G8. Easy to install the grippy sides are nice and further tightening with a wrench may not be necessary. Will use again for extended oil change intervals.
