Lamps were reasonably easy to install in a 2003 Element. Definite improvement in night visibility due to brighter burning bulb. However, buyer beware - in exchange for a brighter burning bulb, you get reduced bulb life. The package states that this bulb may have a lifespan 1/4 the lengh of a standard replacement or OEM bulb.

One headlamp went out on 2003 Vibe and using old school logic I decided to replace the pair(Not necessary). Good headlamp required the battery pulled and not having the time I just replaced the defective. That night and from then on I noticed the stock vs new lamps had the same density and brightness. 14 Months later the bulb I replaced went out so I replaced with the remaining new bulb which then lasted about 12 months. Today after 7 years, shortly after my last aftermarket lamp died, the remaining stock bulb burnt out so I'll be replacing both with stock or equivalent.

Comments about Sylvania SilverStar TWIN Halogen Headlight:
My vehicle has daylight running lights. I drove to work in the dark thinking I had the low beams on but it was just running lights. I put the low beams on and every now and then I get flashed from oncoming traffic like I have my high beams on. Big improvement over stock.

Comments about Sylvania SilverStar TWIN Halogen Headlight:
My son (11) and I replaced these light ourselves! They were easy to install and work great! The price was right as well! We saved ourselves $80 which is what they would have charged us to install if we had gone to our regular mechanic. It took less than 15 minutes to install both lights. I have no complaints about the product so far. We purchased them on cyber Monday and so received an additional discount, total price was around $20. Great product! Highly recommend this to anyone! Even a housewife and an 11-year old can install! We watched a short youtube video on how to install.

Bought to replace my OEM bulbs which were fading after 13 years . Light output was excellent but first bulb burned out after only 3 months. Brought back to Advance and they exchanged for me , down graded to the Xtra vision which hopefully will last longer.

pick this light because it was in the middle of the road for lights. Did not want an extreme bright one. I like the bonus pack and the pricing

Comments about Sylvania SilverStar TWIN Halogen Headlight:
I am replacing with the same product but you should know that this only lasted for a year. While it is appropriate to change bulbs when they dim, this is the first time I had a set that did not last at least a few years. As you know OEM bulbs last for YEARS. The silverstars give superior lighting but poor life.

Comments about Sylvania SilverStar TWIN Halogen Headlight:
Used to replace existing headlamps. Would have preferred the basic low end bulbs since they tend to last longer but my local AAP was out of stock and I needed something right away. I guess there is a little difference in brightness but not worth the extra cost in my opinion.

Q:
do they look blue ???2 answers
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
No, they are white.A:
The silverstar headlights will have more of a whitish tint than a blue tint to them. If your looking for a more blue light like the HID bulbs then I would suggest the Sylvania cool blue or something similar to it.Q:
can this bulb be used for 1995 honda civic?1 answer
