    i recently asked if this was the bearring for my car. the reply was that they needed more information on my car.. it is a 2002 chevy tracker 4x4, 5 speed stick, 2.0 feul injected 4 cyl. i am looking for the front input shaft bearing.. i also need to know if it is pressed in or not pressed in.. and last do you carry or can you get the housing also.

      No this is not the bearing for your car. The part number you are looking for is RW-122. I do not believe that this bearing will have to be pressed in.

      This is the input shaft housing, but to verify if it fits your vehicle, I need more information about it. Can you please provide the year and engine size of your vehicle.

      Normally the input shaft bearing will be pressed onto the main gear cluster, however,this can vary from vehicle to vehicle. Either way a local machine shop can do the press work for a small fee if necessary.

    since it is not sealed would i have to grease it up every so many months

      A:

      You grease the races and pack the ball bearing with grease when you them on. If it is in a location where there is a grease fitting that goes to it say the bearing for the tire area then those get checked usually when you get a full service oil change. Other than that there is not reason to grease them every month.

      You do not have to grease the transmission input shaft bearings as they are lubricated by the transmission oil in the case as the gear clusters turn inside during normal operation.
