I can't believe they even sell these. I didn't realize that they make lug nuts that just don't work.
My wife's van needed front breaks. I went to take the lug nuts off and I rounded off the first one (with a 1/2 inch drive electric impact gun. I then tried to get the rest with a 3/4 inch breaker bar and I could feel those starting to round off too. I thought they were just seized and not the lug nuts fault. I took it to my mechanic to get to do the breaks, since I couldn't get the nuts off. I bought the same lug nuts to replace the bad ones. He told me to never buy this kind, buy the solid ones.
After the breaks were done, I took the van to the tire shop to get my free tire rotation. They couldn't get the lug nuts off, because they fell apart. He also told me to never buy this kind. And sold me 20 solid ones for $.50 a piece. Yes one quarter of the price of these. I then had to take the van back to my mechanic to replace all the nut, just so I could get my tires rotated. Buy these if you wish, but you have been warned.

the chrome cap is not properly glued to nut, and on the first or second use the chrome cap will fall off, requiring an 18mm socket to remove the nut. So if you only have the 3/4" socket in your car you will not be able to change your tire.

As with any lug nut with the chrome cover, use caution especially with an air gun.. It can cause the cover to loosen or crack.
That is why I was replacing 7, because the shop, when rotating my tires, 'stripped' off the covers on 7!!!

Had these on my vehicle for less than three months and the lug nut ?covers? started coming off. Felt really solid when I purchased them but, boy was I wrong. Spend that extra money for some real one piece lug nuts. I would have rated this a 1 but they do keep the wheels on.
