This Factory Air Switch(Part# 35756) is a Compressor Mounted Low Cut-Out Pressure Switch. It has Improved 2 terminal design replacing older 1 terminal switch. And it is zinc coated to resist corrosion. Yes this switch can be bypassed.Answered on 5/20/2012 by Dennis from AAP
