Battery was installed ten days ago, can't judge longevity or durability at this time.Upgraded my 2008 Trailblazer from the OEM 600CCA original. OEM unit cranked slow one morning, and two days later (after charging) was totally dead. Luckily, I was not stranded. As with so many current vehicles, there is a constant draw on the battery when the truck sits idle. The extra capacity should help a lot.Bought directly from my local store, they installed it quickly and the truck fired up immediately. It took a couple hundred steady miles before it was fully charged, but it seems to be holding a charge great after sitting for 4 days. Date code showed it was fresh - no more than 3 months old.Using Advance's website, this battery did not appear on the list of choices for my vehicle. Yet, the local store clerk found it with no problem, and recommended it when I told him I wanted the biggest honking battery that would fit. It fits perfectly, once you remove the battery box. Keep this in mind if you're shopping for your Trailblazer. That box is really not necessary.I paid about eleven bucks more than the online price - WITH the promo code. Seven of that was state tax. No online deals today, I guess. Regardless, I'm happy with the price I paid and service I received. If this battery makes it past the 4-year mark, the value is excellent.Only time will tell if it rates 5 stars, but it looks like a solid contender so far.

after install....car started perfectly....a week later still good....my other adv auto battery lasted 6 years and was still good, I just thought I would get another one before I was stranded and had to buy a battery for full price, got mine for $50 off....thanks adv auto....

Have this battery 10 days now. The previous battery was a Delco eye that was at least 6 years old in this 11 year old car. I never replaced a battery in it. Was concerned the alternator might not be charging hard enough. But after having the old battery on a charger the alternator whined when the car started. So I figured it was charging. Checked online with 3 other stores and called a warehouse. With an online coupon Advance had the lowest price. And Ebates gave a cash back percentage. A manager at Advance ran a OBD scan and battery test, removed the old battery and installed the new.

The local Advance Auto store had the battery as expected and also the computer saver I needed to make the installation easier.
The new battery went into my primary car and its 3 year old Autocraft #78 went into my backup car. The backup car's battery went into the basement. The old basement battery was traded in for the core refund.
I have been using batteries from this Advance Auto store and its predecessor at the same location for many years and have always gotten good to excellent service from them.

What is the warranty coverage for this battery when used in a comercial aplication? Please be specific.

This warranty is valid for the stated period of time printed on your Invoice and Order Confirmation email provided you were the original purchaser of the part and you still own the vehicle on which it was installed. This is the correct battery for my 2006 GMC Sierra 2500HD, 6.6 liter LBZ turbo diesel. I had checked on competitors site and they have 6 13/16” for width on the same “Group Size” OEM replacement battery which will fit my vehicle, even with bottom clamp protrusion added, which should be approximately ¼” on each side for a total of ½” (give or take).
If your battery measurement is taken from the bottom as I asked, then all is well, and IT will fit in my battery tray…

1.Place the new battery where you just took the old battery out, with the positive and negative terminals on the correct sides. Connect all the screws, clamps or bars that may hold the battery in place.
2.Reconnect the positive terminal - Tighten the clamps using a wrench.
3.Reconnect the negative terminal - Tighten the clamp with the wrench
4.Apply battery lithium grease - Spray the terminals with lithium grease to prevent corrosion.
5.Close the hood - Shut the hood of your car firmly and start your car. Check that all the electronic devices are working properly.Answered on 7/18/2011 by Henry from AAP
