I bought this filter for my 1999 Toyota Tacoma, and unfortunately the size was incompatible. I bought the recommended size, but it was too large to fit. The texture of the filter made it much easier to hold while I tried to install it, so if it had fit, I would have given it a much higher rating.

I use to work at a car dealership and take my advise when it comes ot oil filters. Never use a cheap one because it will cause engine damage. If you receive a coupon in the mail for a $10 oil change DON'T use it. They substitute a cheap
$2.00 oil filter from ...quest instead of an OEM one or equivalent. The filter is just as important as the oil. NEVER SKIMP ON YOUR OIL FILTER!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fram uses cardboard in their filter design! I don't know what Purolator's testing is, but I do know that the stock Honda oil filter is this exact model with different badging. At our Valvoline oil change quick lubes, they also use this same filter by Purolator! It doesn't use cardboard, and many mechanics recommend Purolator PUREONE by name! I have it on my 2004 Honda Element EX and my fiance's newly rejuvenated 2005 Ford Focus ZX3 SE. When it comes to your car, I can't trust cardboard, so I definitely recommend this filter! Also, has a rough texture for better gripping with a wrench or hands!

I normally purchase FRAM filters for all my oil changes, but as this was included in an Advance Auto oil change special, I decided to give it a try. Texture paint over entire filter was a nice plus. May be switching to Purolator!
