Comments about Dorman - Autograde Black Chrome Acorn M12-1.50, Hex 3/4 Inch Length 1-3/8 Inch:

Dorman makes good quality parts, and I am guessing I will definitely get my money worth out of them. They seem likely to chip or flake after several uses or immediately if you use an impact, but the price was great. Gorilla makes a slightly better product but is around $100 for a set. I also got these for a 4 lug car and only needed 16 nuts, now I can sell the 4pc wheels locks and the key to even get a few bucks back since I can't stand using locks. If they want to steal your wheels, they will.

Got these to replace the factory lugs that had cheap chrome caps that seemed to fall off anytime i put the lug wrench near them...however i was really hopin there was a better coating on them..have removed them twice and the black paint is chipping fairly badly i might add i installed them the first time using the 19 mm lug wrench that was with my car and i put a shop rag over them to take up the very small size difference between three quarters and nineteen millimeters and that still chipped one or two

will the acorn bulge seat work with a 97 Acura Integra GS, B18B1 engine, oem ls mesh wheels? Is there a difference with ball seat and acorn bulge seat?

            • CUSTOMER CARE

              A:

There is no difference between the Acron Bulge seat or Ball seat Chrome wheel locks except the design. Both the Dorman - Autograde Wheel Lug Nut Lock Set (Part No. 711-346) and Dorman - Autograde Wheel Lug Nut Lock Set (Part No. 711-355) fits your 1997 Acura Integra GS.

          • Q:

            Hey,
I was wondering if you have different strength levels of lug nuts because the last set I bought from the advanced auto parts store were not strong at all. I took my truck to a shop to get an alignment and the tires re-balanced and they broke seven of the domes off of the nuts with the impact gun... they said that they were cheap. If you do have different strength levels can you let me know the part number for the strongest ones . I need 24 black nuts and 4 locks m12 1.5 acorn (I think if I remember correctly) for a 2003 Toyota Tacoma reg cab 2.7L 4cyl. Thanks alot

              A:

There really isn't different strength levels of lug nuts. Shops tend to usually use impact guns on as many things as they can for ease and they are usually set way too high for jobs such as removing or installing lug nuts on a vehicle. I have seen it too many times when shops break something and place blame on someone or something else instead of admitting that they made a mistake.
