I am replacing the A/C evaporator coil, so I have a new tube to install the orifice tube into, but the orifice tube only goes in about halfway. Is there a trick to seating the orifice tube all the way in?1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
First, we will have to confirm whether you have ordered the correct one for your vehicle model. If it is the correct one, the size of the tube will be same as the original and it would fit perfectly.Q:
Where does this go?3 answers

A:
It goes in the lower tube of the evaporator. Open the fitting right up next to the blower box at the bottom of box. It is inserted in the metal tubing.CUSTOMER CARE
A:
It will be located inside the A/C lines. If you follow the A/C lines, you should notice a small crimp in the line. That small crimp is where the orifice tube is.A:
The orifice tube is on the smaller diameter "high pressure" line going to the evaporator core. It has a union fitting ahead of it. It may be difficult to remove. Pull straight out and try not to twist. If it breaks off inside, you may not be able to get the piece out.
