            • Q:

Can anyone tell me why this filter does not actually fit my 06 jeep commander? I have compared this filter to the oem filter and the threaded inlet are different diameters. the purolater inlet is too small. I have compared to the other after market brands and all of them share the same defect.

In my opinion, Fram is better but both oil filters will do the job just fine.

              • A:

This filter is way better than a Fram. It uses metal end caps and has higher burst strength. The filtering media is also superior and the strength of it during the oil change is higher.

The Fram of comparable size (PH 3600) is a poor design with so many negatives against it i can't believe they actually still have them on the store shelves. Fram = Junk!
